Police have arrested and charged a Hyattsville man in a fatal shooting late last year in Capitol Heights, authorities said Wednesday.

Johnathan Brandon Walker, 23, is charged with first- and second-degree murder in the Dec. 27, slaying of 21 year-old Nicholas Andrew Battle, authorities said. Battle was found shot to death just before 7 a.m. in a vehicle near Pepper Mill Drive and Drylog Street in Capitol Heights, authorities said.

Walker was arrested Wednesday on Canyon Drive in Seat Pleasant, said Lt. William Alexander, a Prince George’s County police spokesman. He declined to specify a motive in the case.
