Prince William County police have arrested a second man who authorities think was responsible for a killing in Woodbridge.

Douglas Hernandez, who police say is either 23 or 25, of the 3600 block of Delmar Drive in Woodbridge, was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the killing of Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola, 47, of no fixed address. Alonso-Iraola’s body was discovered Jan. 15 in the street in the 15000 block of Cardin Place in Woodbridge about 11 p.m, police say.

According to police, witnesses said that two men pulled up in a white van and left the victim in the street before fleeing. Alonso-Iraola died of knife wounds and blunt trauma to his face, authorities say.

Police allege that Hernandez and Juan Carlos Flores, 25, were the two men who dumped the body. Jose Miguel Diaz, 28, of the 14000 block of Westminster Lane has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder. While Diaz owned the white van, it was used without his consent, according to police, who have declined to comment further on Diaz’s alleged role in the death.

The killing does not appear to have been random, police have said.
