A Virginia man who pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography was sentenced to more than seven years in prison Friday, authorities said.

Patrick Buckley, 64, of Alexandria, pleaded guilty Oct. 3 in the District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Investigators began looking into him after recovering chat logs between him and another man about wanting to sexually abuse children, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

That man, authorities said, produced child pornography of his minor son and sent them to Buckley.

Buckley also posted images and videos of prepubescent children being sexually abused by adults on two different nudist Web sites, authorities said.

Authorities said Buckley had seven prior sexual misconduct convictions.
