Man shot making food delivery in PG

A restaurant delivery man was shot and wounded Sunday night in the Prince George’s County city of Glenarden, authorities said.

The man was shot about 8:15 p.m. after making a delivery of Chinese food to an address in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street, said city police chief Philip O’Donnell.

As the man was leaving the address, O’Donnell said, two assailants confronted him and took him behind the building, where he was robbed and shot.

The delivery man was struck at least once in the stomach, O’Donnell said. After the man returned to the restaurant, police and rescue personnel were called, O’Donnell said.

No description of the robbers was available immediately.
