Reward offered in investigation of 2011 Stafford killing

STAFFORD, Va. — A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to a conviction in the 2011 slaying of a Stafford County man.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says the reward was provided by an anonymous donor.

Forty-nine-year-old Samih Mustafa Sowan was fatally shot on March 1, 2011. His landlord found his body in the basement area of a house that he had rented.

Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy tells The Free Lance-Star that police haven’t been able to gather enough evidence for an arrest.
