Stabbing in D.C. jail

A prisoner at the D.C. Jail was stabbed Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The stabbing took place about 2 p.m., said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman.

The victim, who was not identified, was treated for non-life-threatening wounds at an area hospital.

Authorities arrested one person in the case, police said. It was not immediately clear what prompted the attack.
