Teen arrested in connection with bank robbery in Forestville

A second suspect in the robbery of an M&T Bank in Forestville earlier this month has been arrested, Prince George’s County police announced.

Shakir Taylor, 19, is accused of robbing the bank on Nov. 8 with 20-year-old Kadija Taylor.

Both are residents of the 3700 block of Donnell Drive, where the bank is also located, police said. Police did not confirm whether the two suspects are related.

According to authorities, the two suspects entered the bank about 11:46 a.m. on Nov. 8 and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money.

The teller complied with their demands and gave them an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then fled the bank on foot, police said.

Kadija Taylor was arrested shortly after the robbery, and a warrant was put out for Shakir Taylor’s arrest.

Shakir Taylor was located with information submitted through the Crime Solvers tip line and arrested at his home Monday morning.

He has been remanded to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
