Two 14-year-old girls reported they were grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man in McLean early Monday morning, Fairfax County police said.

The teens were walking on Chain Bridge Road near Chain Bridge Court around 3:30 a.m. Monday when they noticed a man run across Chain Bridge Road and hide in some bushes in a church parking lot, police said.

As the girls walked down Davidson Road, they saw the man walk toward them, police said. The man then grabbed one of the girls and wrapped his hands around her waist, police said.

When the other teen tried to free her friend, the man grabbed the second teen, police said. They said he touched both girls inappropriately.

After the girls screamed and a dog began barking, the man fled north on Chain Bridge Road, police said. The girls ran home to contact police.

Neither was injured.

The suspect was in his 20s and about 5’10” tall. He had a thin build and short hair. He was wearing an orange and white striped t-shirt and blue jeans at the time of the attack, police said.
