Thieves target Alexandria businesses

Alexandria police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people they believe are involved in a series of commercial burglaries early Sunday morning.

The two men and a woman were caught on video surveillance unsuccessfully trying to break into an electronics store in the 4900 block of Eisenhower Avenue at about 5:25 a.m.

About the same time, two nearby business were broken into in the 5300 block of Eisenhower Avenue, police said. Thieves made off with copper piping from an electrician’s warehouse, and they took cash, computers and a large selection of cigars, as well as a blue marbleized humidor, from another store, police said.
