Third man charged in deadly Sterling robbery: Police

A third man has been been charged in what police have called a botched home invasion robbery on East Kennedy Road in Sterling.

Scott Alexander Walker, 32, of Harper’s Ferry, W. Va., is charged with one count each of attempted robbery while armed and burglary with the intent to commit robbery.

Walker is one of three men who allegedly went into a house in the 1200 block of East Kennedy Road and tried to rob the people in the home.

During an altercation, a resident shot Walker, who fled the scene with another suspect, according to police. Walker later went to a hospital. Another accomplice was also shot at the scene and died of his injuries.

Walker is being held without bond at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center. He is expected to be arraigned Friday.

Dana Hedgpeth is a Post reporter, working the early morning, reporting on traffic, crime and other local issues.
