Three men were arrested Thursday in connection with shooting more than 250 vehicles with BB guns over the last several months, according to Arlington County Police officials.
Alexander Chase, 19, Ricardo Reynoso Jr., 18, and William Romero, 18, all of Arlington, were arrested for shooting at both residential and police vehicles, officials said. Often car windows in the vehicles were shot out, police said, and in at least one case item was taken from a vehicle.
The shootings occurred across the county, but some of the incidents may have spanned as far as West Virginia, police said.
Chase and Reynoso have been charged with felony destruction of property. Romero has been charged with grand larceny and grand larceny with intent to distribute. Reynoso is being held with $1,000 bond; Chase and Romero are being held without bond.
