Two arrested Old Town Manassas killing

Police in Manassas have arrested two suspects in the killing of a man whose body was found Tuesday morning in a parking lot next to a vacant building in the city’s Old Town neighborhood, according to authorities.

The victim has been identified as Antonio Ricardo Bailey, 44, of Manassas. Sgt. Lowell L. Nevill, a department spokesman, would not say how Bailey died until the autopsy results are finalized.

Names of two suspects, both adult males, were withheld pending the filing of charges in court by the Commonwealth’s Attorney. Nevill said that could come later Wednesday afternoon.

Nevill said Bailey’s body was found in the lot about 7:30 a.m. along the well-travelled street near a bank, a church and the local newspaper. Nevill said the death is the town’s second homicide this year; the other was a man who was fatally beaten.
