OWINGS MILLS, Md. — Baltimore County police say two people were killed when their cars collided head-on in Owings Mills.

It happened about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday on McDonough Road. Police say a car driven by 22-year-old Melvin Bettis III of Pikesville was traveling on McDonough Road when it crossed into oncoming traffic.

Bettis’ car crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Andre Murphy of Pikesville. Bettis’ car spun around and hit a third car.

Bettis and Murphy were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the third car was not hurt.

The crash is under investigation.
