Two men shot in stomach, back in Southeast D.C.

D.C. police are investigating an overnight shooting in Southeast Washington that left two men seriously injured.

According to police, the shooting occurred before 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Forrester Street.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One had been shot in the torso and the other had been shot in the back.

Both men, who were not identified, were taken to a local hospital.

Police have not released a motive or suspect in the case or said if the shooting is related to other crimes in the area.
