A 72-year-old man has been charged with forcing two women to watch pornography and sexually assaulting them as they sought help from the employment agency where he worked, police said.
Choon Sik Lee of Annandale was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted forcible sodomy on Saturday, according to Lucy Caldwell, Fairfax County police spokeswoman.
Around 9 a.m. Thursday, a 41-year-old woman from the Falls Church area went to the World Employment Agency in Annandale to look for job opportunities, Caldwell said.
The woman was locked in a room and told to watch a video showing sexually explicit acts, the spokeswoman said.
Lee then attempted to force her to perform sexual acts, and the woman fled the building after telling him she needed to use the restroom, Caldwell said.
Police have identified a 28-year-old woman from Fairfax City who was also sexually assaulted under similar circumstances on May 19.
Neither woman’s injury was life-threatening, and no one else was in the office at the time of the assaults, Caldwell said.
Police believe there may be other victims of similar assaults who have not come forward.
"This is an area of the county with a high Asian and Hispanic population," Caldwell said. "Language and cultural issues may be reasons people do not come forward, and the detectives believe there are other unreported incidents." The Falls Church victim is Asian, and the Fairfax City victim is Hispanic.
Victims are asked to contact Det. Amy Palizzi at 703-246-7818. Interpreters are available.
Lee is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, Caldwell said.
