Wisconsin man struck and killed in Sterling

A Wisconsin man was fatally struck early Tuesday by a car on Route 7 in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County sheriff’s office.

The 41-year-old man was hit in the roadway near Route 7 and Davenport Drive by a car driven by a 39-year-old Fairfax woman, authorities said. The incident occurred shortly before 4 a.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

The man, who has not been identified, was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he later died, authorities said.

There are no charges pending against the driver, according to the sheriff’s office. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
