Woman dies in Tuesday Crofton crash

A Gaithersburg woman died after a head-on collision between two vehicles Tuesday night in Crofton, police said.

According to the Anne Arundel police, a Toyota Corolla headed south in the northbound lanes of Route 3 near McKnew Road struck a Mercedes headed north about 8:32 p.m.

The driver of the Toyota, Angela Biggins, 35, was taken to a hospital, where she died. Police believe she may have been under the influence of alcohol during the crash.

The driver of the Mercedes, a Crofton man, was unhurt, police said.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
