Woman identified in fatal Suitland crash

Police have identified the woman killed in a crash in the Suitland area early Saturday morning as 19-year-old Tyesha Williams, of Capitol Heights, authorities said Tuesday.

Williams was a passenger in a 2001 Chevy Tahoe that overturned near the intersection of Hil-Mar Drive and Suitland Road, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a Prince George’s County police spokesman. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man, fled the scene and remains at large, Johnson said.

Johnson said investigators are still trying to determine why the Tahoe flipped, and they are hopeful the driver will turn himself in. He declined to identify the driver.
