A man was struck in the face and robbed in downtown Washington Monday by a group that included a woman in a wheelchair, D.C. police said.
They said the incident occurred shortly after noon on 6th Street NW, near the Verizon Center in the Chinatown area.
As the victim was walking, police said, a man struck him in the face and reached into his pocket. After grabbing some cash, the man and three other people who appeared to be with him fled, police said.
One of the three others was described as a black woman with blonde hair, a heavy build and green pants. According to the description given, she was in a wheelchair.
