A woman was fatally stabbed in Anacostia Park in Southeast around 10 p.m. Sunday night, police said.

The circumstances of the slaying are unclear and no arrests have been made in the case, said D.C. police Lt. Joe Trippi. The woman was found dead in the 1800 block of Anacostia Drive.

D.C. police Capt. Regis Bryant said in a neighborhood listserve that the victim had been stabbed. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call 1-888-919-CRIME or text to 50411.
