Woman’s body found in Baltimore trash chute

The body of a 21-year-old woman has been found in a trash chute in a downtown Baltimore apartment building, police announced.

The woman has been identified as Emily Hauze, 21, a recent graduate of Loyola University Maryland, police said.

According to authorities, Hauze’s body was found about 8 a.m. Sunday in a trash container in the Park Charles apartment building in the 200 block of North Charles Street.

Hauze’s death remains under investigation pending the medical examiner’s report, but investigators said the fall may have been accidental.

In August 2010, a man died after apparently falling down the same trash chute, police said.
