Rock Creek Park tree: still no solution

The Daily Gripe is back again, trying to chase down the actual organization that is really responsible for a tree branch that is hanging over a bike path north of Q Street in Rock Creek Park

Last we heard, 311 was the first line of defense and DDOT was going to follow-up and take care of this branch if it posed a threat. But now, DDOT is fairly certain the tree is the National Park Service’s responsibility.

In an e-mail, John Lisle, spokesman for DDOT wrote, “I checked with UFA [Urban Forestry Administration]. They are pretty certain this is an NPS tree.”
