Coolidge High School in Northwest D.C. will be closed on Wednesday due to no heat in the building, school officials announced.

The outage comes on a day when the Washington area expects a blast of wintry weather, with temperatures topping out around 40 degrees.

School officials said they are working to restore heat to the school later Wednesday.

Parents and students are urged to check the DCPS Web site, Facebook page and Twitter feed for updated information.
