As Maryland’s midnight madness approached, marking the 40th anniversary of midnight madnesses in College Park, I saw a few people wonder how you could possibly replace the Gary Williams spectacles of years past, where the coach’s entrance — usually involving a fist pump — would highlight the introduction of the team.
Well, without Williams, the next best thing would be his most successful team. And thus, the Terps are bringing back Steve Blake, Juan Dixon, Byron Mouton, Chris Wilcox and friends for Friday night’s celebration, where they’ll play in the alumni game. Maybe one of them will pump a fist or something.
