If you’ve had Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain and/or Roy Helu on your fantasy football team this year, you’ve likely uttered at least one expletive in the general direction of the people who decide on the Redskins starting running back.
You’ve also likely assumed that if only you had more information, you could correctly predict which running back would be starting on a week-to-week basis. Wrong! Even Chris Cooley doesn’t know.
“The game Helu started, San Francisco, I walked up to Torain in the locker room and said Dude you’re starting on my fantasy team this week and I’m hoping for a big week, I’m playing my wife,”Cooley said on the Junkies Friday morning.
“And he’s like,Oh, cool man, yeah, I’ll see what I can do,” Cooley continued. “I went out to the field, and Helu starts. I’m in the LOCKER ROOM and I don’t know who’s starting. So it’s kind of a mix-up, and I’m not exactly sure what we’re doing or who’s going in.”
In other news, Bodog sent out odds on whether Mike Shanahan will be the head coach of the Redskins for the first game of the 2012 season. “Yes” is listed at -200, and “No” at +150.
