I mentioned several times last week that Comcast SportsNet was counting down the top D.C. sports stories of the decade as part of its 10-year news gathering anniversary.
The final countdown came over the weekend, and the top story kind of surprised me: the death of Sean Taylor. When I did a similar list at the end of 2009, I had Taylor’s death ranked No. 6, while a Wash Post reader poll had it third, behind George Mason’s trip to the Final Four and Maryland men’s basketball’s national championship.
Anyhow, the point here isn’t to debate the placement, but to include yet another nicely done piece by the network.
