Dick Vitale visits with the Nats

Once upon a time, Dick Vitale had an opinion on the Strasburg shutdown:

“As a fan of the sport, I am surprised that the Washington Nationals are talking about shutting down pitcher Stephen Strasburg around the 160-inning mark... If I was a fan of the Nationals, I would be upset. They have the potential to contend for a world title this year. The people paying their hard-earned money this season deserve to see Strasburg on the mound in September as the team battles for a playoff berth.”

Well, Vitale was at the Nats-Marlins game last night, presumably to see Strasburg pitch one of his last games of the season. He took some time before the game to pose for some pictures and bring bad luck to the Nats.

I guess we brought good luck to @giancarlo818 & his Marlin buddies9-0 over Nats & Strasburg .Having dinner at Prime Italian #AWESOMEBABY

Awesome, baby.

Here are some of the pics tweeted by Dickie V, taken when everyone was happy and no one was giving up nine runs to the Marlins.

With Bryce Harper...

And of course Gio and Mama Gio...

With Davey. Do you think they talked about the shutdown?

Ian Desmond and some guy who owns a flower shop...

And of course, the beautiful sisters Akra.
