Sure enough, here they are. And, dramatically, the uniforms have names on the back, a change-of-pace from last year’s anonymity.

“I am not a name-on-the-back-of-the-jersey guy,” Edsall said last summer. “To me, it’s all about the name on the front. It’s all about Maryland.”

I haven’t seen any comments from the coach yet explaining this reversal, but at least one player seemed pleased.

“We thought, ‘Oh cool. Parents can see names.’” defensive lineman Joe Vellano said, according to Gene Wang.
