The Redskins and the Cowboys lost their dispute with the NFL over their salary caps reductions. What does it mean?
The Redskins lost $36 million in cap space over two years.
The Cowboys lost $10 million over two years.
The arbitration hearing came after 29 team owners voted against rescinding the restrictions (Tampa Bay abstained from the vote).
The Redskins can still file a lawsuit against the NFL, but said they “respect and will abide by the arbitrator’s decision to dismiss.”
Without having updated contract numbers, it looks like the Redskins will still have cap space available after the hit. The Cowboys will not.
