I know I’m sometimes cynical about the Redskins’s nods to the past, but not this time. I think this video — produced by the Redskins Broadcast Network and graciously provided by the team for embedding here — does a nice job of mixing glory years stuff with the 2010 highlights.

I’ve watched it four times now, and the old-timey moments — Larry Brown diving for extra yards, John Riggins bowing to the crowd, Mark Rypien and Sonny celebrating, Joe Gibbs raising the trophy, Charley Taylor going across the middle, Art Monk and Darrell Green — for me, it all works. And it’s sort of awesome.
