Paul VI’s buzzer beater and court storm against DeMatha

(John McDonnell/THE WASHINGTON POST)

Yes, this is Friday’s news delivered on Monday, but I do so love a good buzzer-beater and impromptu court storming. A tipped-out last-second desperation game-winner from George Mason commit Patrick Holloway downed DeMatha, likely moved Paul VI into the No. 1 spot in The Post’s rankings, and led to on-court bedlam.

“I saw parents coming out of the stands, I saw kids coming out of stands,” Holloway told Josh Barr. “I’ll be honest, I was scared. I didn’t know what to do. I was trying to hold my balance and stay up.”

This was a Grade A court storming. Three videos below.
