That’s according to Richmond’s NBC 12, which also called RGIII “arguably one of the best college quarterbacks in the country,” which is an argument they’d probably win.

“I like to see him run and throw that ball,” Allen told the station. (Video below.)

Meanwhile, the Washington Times noted that RGIII recently did an interview with Texas radio station 1660 ESPN Radio. (Audio here)

“The pick itself, everyone’s assuming that Washington’s coming to get me, but that’s not certain,” Griffin said. “Nothing in life’s certain....I think it is a high price, like many sports minds would say, but if they’re going after the player that they feel is gonna help them win, then I think they were willing to pay that high price. And there’s no telling who that player is....

“We’ll see what happens and move on from there....Coach Shanahan and the GM and the owner there in Washington have a decision to make. And we’ll see what happens. I don’t know what’s gonna happen; I’m just looking forward to being in the NFL.”
