Ryan Zimmerman’s home run, as viewed from Waveland Ave.

The first 90 seconds of this video from Waveland Avenue outside Wrigley Field are exceedingly boring. Then Ryan Zimmerman bombs a first-inning home run 440-some feet into a little garden, and the camera man and friends go running, and someone flings a ball back into the playing field (although it was a fake ball and not the actual home run ball), and it’s all kind of captivating somehow.

Mildly captivating, anyhow.

Beware a mild profanity at the very end of this video.
