Shake Shack, the high-end burger joint run by New York restauranteur Danny Meyer, is set to open at Nats Park next week. The restaurant and several other Meyer creations, which will replace Five Guys and more traditional ballpark options in the upper level right field concourse (i.e. The Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk), will debut on Monday at a VIP event. They will then open to the public starting Tuesday night, when the Nats begin a homestand.
The concepts -- which include Blue Smoke (barbecue), Box Frites (fries with dips), El Verano Taqueria (Mexican) and Shake Shack -- were originally scheduled to open in late May.
