ART route and schedule changes

Four ART routes are going to have route and schedule changes go into effect beginning Monday.

The changes include:

• ART 41 will have more frequent weekend service that begins earlier and ends later; there will also be an additional weekday trip leaving the Court House Metro station at 12:15 p.m.

• ART 45 will extend further west to service the Columbia Heights West neighborhood; service will run through Lyon Park to the Court House Metro station before arriving in Rosslyn; and there will be improved access to the Department of Human Services building.

• ART 51 will be altered so it runs along Washington Boulevard in the Waycroft-Woodlawn neighborhood; times will be adjusted to keep the 15 minute weekday rush hour service between Virginia Hospital Center and the Ballston Metro station.

• ART 52 will be altered so it runs along 16th Street North in the Waycroft-Woodlawn neighborhood; weekday service will start earlier (at 5:50 a.m.); times will be altered to meet the bell schedule at Yorktown High School; the evening rush hour departure times at the East Falls Church Metro station will be staggered between ART 53 trips.
