Changes coming to Fairfax Connector, Arlington Transit

More than a dozen Fairfax Connector routes will change on Saturday, and a new bus route will also begin service to Dulles International Airport. Bus route 981, the new route, will run from Tysons West*Park Transit Station to Dulles.

There will also be changes made to multiple routes. These include minor schedule adjustments for routes 101, 151, 159, 171, 395, 924, 926, 929 and 950; schedule changes for RIBS 3 and 5 buses; and the elimination of RIBS 4’s trips on Sunday at 10:05 a.m. and 5:05 p.m. Buses on route 402 will also be adjusted to serve the transit center at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Route 335 will experience multiple tweaks, including schedule, route and fare changes.

Arlington Transit riders also need to prepare for minor changes going into effect on Monday. ART route 45 will pick up its first passengers at 6 a.m. at the bus stop at Columbia Pike and S. Greenbrier Street and run until 7:57 p.m.

Some alterations will be made to ART route 61 so that bus 61A can run every 25 minutes. The route won’t change and buses will serve all stops. The Rosslyn-Courthouse shuttle will have layovers at Courthouse instead of at Rosslyn.
