Crash closes Naylor Road

Authorities are investigating a three vehicle crash in Southeast Washington Wednesday that closed Naylor Road and may have involved a car stolen in Prince George’s County.

D.C. police responded to Naylor Road near the intersections with Good Hope Road and Alabama Avenue about 4:30 p.m., said Officer Paul Metcalf. There were reports of at least one person being injured, but no further details could be immediately learned.

Authorities are trying to determine if one of the vehicles involved was stolen earlier in District Heights. Prince George’s County officers had responded to a call for a carjacking in the 5000 block of Silver HIll Court.

Officers later determined a blue Chevy Equinox was taken by a person known to the victim, said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a county police spokesman.
