D.C. plans to reject request to pay for extra Metro service

We told you on Thursday about how the Washington Nationals want D.C. to pay to keep Metro open late during potential playoff baseball. The news, first reported by WTOP, came days after a 13-inning Nationals game that ended after Metro had stopped running for the night.

And now we might know how the District will respond. D.C. officials plan to turn down that request, reports the Post’s Mike DeBonis. You can read his full story here.
