DDOT closing lanes near Suitland Parkway and Firth Sterling Avenue intersection

The District Department of Transportation is closing lanes near the intersection of Suitland Parkway and Firth Sterling Avenue on Thursday to gather soil samples.

The right turning lane on northbound Suitland Parkway before Firth Sterling Avenue will be closed, as will the right lane on westbound Firth Sterling Avenue between Howard Road and Suitland Parkway. The lanes will be blocked between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

DDOT is closing the lanes to gather soil samples as part of the South Capitol Street Corridor Project.
