Delays on I-66 E.

8:45 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is jammed after the Beltway near Falls Church.

The right shoulder on I-495 North is closed due to a disabled vehicle. Expect potential delays.

8:15 A.M. Update:

The eastbound lane has reopened on Georgetown Pike near Towlston Road in McLean. However, traffic is still backed up.

7:55 A.M. Update:

The eastbound lane on Georgetown Pike near Towlston Road in McLean is blocked due to an accident. East bound traffic is getting by using the westbound lane. Police are on the scene directing traffic.

The left shoulder is still closed eastbound on I-66 in Manassas. But traffic is moving smoothly once you pass the Capital Beltway.

A tractor trailer accident has closed the left shoulder of I-495 North near mile marker 55 in Fairfax County.

7:25 A.M. Update:

Interstate 66 just can’t seem to catch a break today. An accident has closed the left shoulder eastbound on I-66 near mile marker 47 in Manassas. Expect potential delays.

6:55 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of northbound I-495 at mile marker 52 in Fairfax County. Expect potential delays.

6:30 A.M. Update:

Expect delays eastbound on I-66 near Sulley Road in Prince William County due to congestion. Traffic begins to back up again near Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax County.

Here’s what’s going on so far:

A multi-vehicle accident is causing delays northbound on the Capital Beltway in Fairfax County near mile marker 43. The left shoulder is closed.

Soapstone Drive at South Lakes Drive in Reston is blocked due to fallen trees. Expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
