8:04 a.m. Update: Metro says the disabled train has been cleared. We’ll keep a watch and see if normal service resumes on the line. You may experience unusual crowding on trains, especially for a Friday.

7:55 a.m. Update: Metro says riders in both directions are affected by the delays. An alert has not been posted on Metro’s Web site, but the information has gone out on Twitter.
