Georgetown commuters, who experienced heavy delays on Tuesday morning stemming from a shooting there Monday night, should expect some issues this morning as well: President Obama is appearing at a waterfront park near the Key Bridge to promote his jobs plan. The Key Bridge was one of 215 bridges found to be structurally deficient in the Washington area, according to a recent report.
The exact time was not known when the event was announced, but the Georgetown Dish reported that the speech would begin at 11:30 a.m. Expect additional traffic and try to avoid driving down near that park if possible.
