Expect to see many Virginia state troopers on I-95 North

If you see a lot of Virginia State Police vehicles heading north on I-95 later this morning, don’t be worried. It’s just officers attending a graduation ceremony that has been shifted from Chesterfield County to Caroline County.

The state police will graduate its largest class of new troopers on Friday at 10 a.m., awarding diplomas to 108 men and women. In part because of the size of this class, the ceremony will be held at Meadow Event Park in Doswell rather than the Virginia State Police campus.

About 80 Virginia State Police cars will head north on I-95 from Chesterfield County to Doswell. So if you’re also on I-95 at the same time, expect a heightened police presence but don’t be alarmed.
