Fire department looking into gas leak at Union Station; station remains open and running

The District’s Fire and EMS Department is on the scene of a minor gas leak in Union Station, but officials said the station remains open and train service is not affected.

A small propane tank in the station’s parking garage has a leak, and the fire department is working to contain that, said Battalion Fire Chief Brian Lee, a fire department spokesman.

We will update this post if the leak impacts train service or access to the station.
