Flash mob planned to call attention to Purple Line

Supporters of building a Purple Line say they’ll hold a flash mob dance Thursday evening in downtown Silver Spring to draw attention to the transit proposal.

Action Committee For Transit organizers said they will dance to the song “C’mon N’ Ride It (The Train)” by the Quad City DJ’s at 5 p.m. on the east corner of Wayne Avenue and Colesville Road. The group said in a press release that it hopes to “cause a harmless spectacle and have fun doing it” while drawing attention to the proposed 16-mile light rail line between Bethesda and New Carrollton.
