I-66 H.O.V. rules lifted for Tuesday

The Virginia Department of Transportation has lifted the H.O.V. requirement for Interstate 66 inside the Beltway on Tuesday. The H.O.V. lanes typically require two or more passengers on eastbound I-66 in the morning and on westbound I-66 in the afternoon and evening.

VDOT also lifted these restrictions on Monday in an effort to ease delays on nearby routes blocked by debris or slowed by dark traffic signals.

The H.O.V. restrictions will remain in place for I-66 outside of the Beltway and on I-395 and I-95 on Tuesday.
