The Maryland State Highway Administration plans to close up to three lanes of the inner loop Thursday night in Silver Spring so that crews can install marking and do surveys associated with the rehabilitation of the Northwest Branch Bridge.

The work is taking place between New Hampshire Avenue and University Boulevard. The SHA said crews will begin closing the right lane on the inner loop at 8 p.m., followed by the right center lane at 10 p.m., and the left center lane at midnight.

Crews plan to reopen the lanes by 5 a.m. Friday.
