Lane closures, repairs coming to Teddy Roosevelt Bridge

The District Department of Transportation will be repairing the Roosevelt Bridge for the next six weeks, which will lead to lane closures and potential delays.

One curb lane will be closed in each direction while repairs are being made to the bridge, which carries Interstate 66 traffic between Washington and Virginia.

The repair work will occur between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning, so it should avoid the morning and evening commutes.

Signs will be posted to warn commuters. The repairs will begin on Monday and last until Sept. 2, according to DDOT.
