Man falls onto Metro train track

A 70-year-old man fell onto Metro tracks after he lost his balance Friday afternoon while standing on the platform at Farragut North. He was transported to George Washington Hospital, but no major injury was reported, Metro officials said.

Dan Stessel, Metro’s chief spokesman, said the man fell onto the tracks headed to Glenmont. There were no trains coming at the time and passersby helped him back onto the platform.
