Track work on a freight line may cause delays for some Maryland commuter rail passengers for the next two weeks.

The Maryland Transit Administration said CSX will be working on a line that connects Riverdale with Northern Virginia through Sept. 1. Freight train congestion in the area may cause delays for Camden Line passengers riding Maryland Area Regional Commuter trains, even though that service operates on different tracks. MTA officials described the possible delays as minor.

CSX operates the MARC Brunswick and Camden lines on CSX-owned tracks. The Camden Line connects Washington and Baltimore.
